Emmy’s Story – Making space for what truly matters
Emmy began with a simple, human moment.
In 2015, our founder Hanna Autio grew tired of the piles of clothes gathering in the corners of a busy family home — pieces that had served their purpose but still had life left in them. She gathered her own unworn items, added a few bags from friends, and created a place where good clothes could continue their stories instead of standing still.
What started in a garage with children’s clothes is now Finland’s largest second-hand service for branded fashion. But our purpose has remained the same: to make space in people’s lives by taking care of the things they no longer need — and by helping others find something meaningful in return.
At our processing center in Lohja, around thirty second-hand experts prepare every item with care. Each piece is inspected, photographed, and readied for its next home with gentle, human attention. Because we believe that garments made well deserve to be used well — and the stories woven into them should not be cut short.
Emmy exists to remove the uncertainty that often comes with letting go or buying used. When the details are handled with a steady, knowledgeable hand, our customers can focus on other things, trusting that we’ll take care of the rest.
Today, Emmy is more than a marketplace.
We are a home for long-lasting style, a partner in decluttering, and a gentle push toward a more sustainable future. We help good clothes find new beginnings — and help people find more space for what truly matters.
Make space for life. We’ll handle the rest.
