How our selling service works

1. Choose what to sell

At Emmy, we sell branded clothing, accessories, and shoes for women, men, and children. Choose brand products according to the season that are intact, odorless, and clean.

2. Send your items to us

Carefully pack your items and fill out a sales form. You can send your batch to us via an Emmy drop-off box, Posti or Matkahuolto shipping, or Budbee home pickup.

3. We handle the rest

We inspect, price, photograph, and store your items. Sales proceeds are paid monthly to your bank account or as a gift card. Track your sales anytime in your Emmy account.

What you can sell on Emmy

Emmy sells high-quality, current fashion items for women, men, and children: clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories.

We accept products from over 10,000 brands and update the list regularly. If your brand isn’t listed, you can suggest it by contacting our customer service.

Is the brand on Emmy's list?

Sellable item must be:

  • authentic and original
  • intact, clean, and in sellable condition
  • contemporary – still desirable and useful

We do not sell:

  • underwear
  • promotional or corporate-branded items
  • fur products
  • jewelry or watches

If an item is not suitable for sale, we can return it to you for a return fee, or – if you prefer – we can process it further at Emmy free of charge.

Sales batch costs and sales revenue

Your items are listed for sale in Emmy’s online store or physical shop for a 6-month sales period. We do not charge a separate starting fee for the listing period.

Costs deducted from the first payable sales earnings of the batch:

  • shipping fee €6.90
  • listing fee €0.50 /children’s item or €1 /adult’s item
  • return of rejected items €15.90 (optional)

Other costs:

  • commission on sold items
  • return of unsold items €12.90 + delivery (optional)

The more valuable the item, the more you earn:

  • item sold for €30 → your earnings €11.50
  • item sold for €50 → your earnings €21.50
  • item sold for €100 → your earnings €56.50
  • item sold for €400 → your earnings €266.50

Your earnings will be paid to your bank account or as a gift card on the last business day of each month. You can view your monthly sales reports in your seller account, where you'll find a detailed breakdown of all transactions – costs and earnings.

Preparing sales batch

How do I start selling?

Selling with Emmy is easy:

  • Choose the branded items you want to sell – clothes, shoes, bags, accessories
  • Fill out the sales consignment  – your contact information, how to receive your sales remittance and how to deliver your sales batch
  • Carefully pack the products you are selling in durable and well-sealed packaging
  • Deliver your items to Emmy

We take care of everything else! We inspect, price, photograph, and store your products, and we always account for sales revenue on the last business day of the month.

What brands are accepted in Emmy?

Check if your item’s brand is accepted by typing it in the [brand search] field under What can you sell on Emmy section. If not, you can suggest it by emailing our customer service at info@emmy.fi.

What type of items are eligible?

Items are listed for sale online or in-store only if we believe they’ll sell.

Sellable item must be:

  • authentic and original
  • intact, clean, and in good condition
  • contemporary and in demand

We do not sell:

  • underwear
  • promotional or corporate-branded items
  • fur products
  • jewelry or watches
  • fast fashion or counterfeit products

Keep the sales season in mind to get the best return on your items!

Send 4 sales batches per year based on seasonal demand:

  • December–February: spring clothing
  • March–May: summer clothing
  • June–August: autumn clothing
  • September–November: winter clothing
How to pack your items?

Pack the products neatly in a durable bag or cardboard box. Make sure the packaging is made of transport-resistant material and is well sealed.

Additional tips for packaging products for sale:

  • Wash, iron, and fold clothes carefully
  • Pack shoes in a bag or original box
  • Place sunglasses in a protective case
  • Include receipts and authenticity certificates if available

Shipping to Emmy

How is the sales item delivered to Emmy?

You can send your items to Emmy easily via:

  • Emmy drop-off box
  • Posti or Matkahuolto
  • Budbee home pickup
  • In-person at our Lohja processing center

The delivery selection for a sales batch is made on sales consignment. Detailed instructions will be sent to your email after filling out the sales consignment.

During the sales period

When does the sales period end?

The products are available for sale in either the brick-and-mortar store or online store for a maximum of 6 months.

How are products inspected?

All items are inspected at our Lohja processing center to confirm that they are:

  • from an accepted brand
  • intact, clean, and in good condition
  • authentic and contemporary
How are rejected items handled?

Products that are rejected during inspection but are still usable are sent for recycling to our domestic partner or donated to charity. Unusable items are recycled as textile waste.


You can request rejected items to be returned for a service fee of €15.90. The return selection for rejected products is made via sales order.

How are items priced?

Emmy experts price items based on brand, condition, age, and trendiness. You may include price suggestions or receipts for original prices.

How to track your sales and payments?

Track your sales in real-time on your Emmy seller account.

Sales reports will be published to your seller account for all months that your account has transactions. The reports will show a breakdown of all account transactions as well as images of your products for sale and those that have been sold.

How is the earnings paid?

Remittances are paid out once a month, on the last business day of the month, for sales completed in the previous month.

Choose to receive your earnings via:

  • bank transfer
  • Emmy gift card (+20% bonus)
  • partner gift card (+10% bonus)
  • charity donation

After the sales period

When does the sales period end?

The products are available for sale in either the brick-and-mortar store or online store for a maximum of 6 months.

What happens to unsold items?

When the product sales period ends, you will receive a message in your email. You can then reorder the products you want from your own seller account within two weeks.

If you'd like to order unsold items back, a €12.90 service fee applies + shipping costs based on your selected delivery method.

Alternatively, you can pick them up from our Lohja product center. In that case, only €12.90 service fee applies.


If you do not want the items back, we forward them to a local resale partner. You’ll receive a €1 refund per item forwarded for resale.
