FINLAND'S WIDEST SELECTION OF SECOND HAND BRANDED CLOTHING

Thank you for this year!

As an Emmy user, you have helped guide clothing consumption in a more responsible direction.

Another amazing Emmy year is coming to an end. Our fourth year of operation has included growth and many new tricks. Thank you for being there to experience them with us.

During the past year, our selection grew from about 50,000 items for sale to almost 80,000 items, and well over 150,000 products found a new home through Emmy. There are also twice as many of us Emmy team members compared to the beginning of the year.

All year, we have worked hard to improve our product handling process, and now items arriving for sale are added to the online store selection at record speed!

In addition, we have put a lot of effort into improving the usability of our online store and introduced new services to make selling and buying easier, such as Posti’s Helposti code.

In September, we opened the Estonian online store emmystore.ee, and in November, we partnered with Kaubamaja department stores and the Selver grocery store chain in Estonia.

With the Emmy box at Tartu’s Kaubamaja and the sales boxes opened in Selver stores in recent weeks, our operations expanded from Tallinn to a wider area in Estonia.

Now, there are already a total of 54 sales boxes: 40 in Finland and 14 in Estonia.

The most important purpose of all this growth is to offer more and more users the opportunity to easily recycle their good-condition branded clothes to new users.

When good-condition clothes find new homes, the need to produce new ones decreases. This saves natural resources and reduces emissions. The amount of textile waste also decreases, as products last longer.

Thanks to the reuse of clothing enabled by Emmy, a total of 262 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 525 million liters of clean water have already been saved!

All of this is thanks to you, dear Emmy customers, both sellers and buyers.

By putting your used, good-condition clothes into circulation and occasionally buying used instead of new, you are helping to guide clothing consumption in a more responsible direction.

Buy thoughtfully – keep and take care – recycle when you no longer need it. Could that be a good promise for the new year?

Wishing you happiness and success in 2019,
The Emmy team
