There are already enough clothes in the world to dress the next six generations. Could the focus of fashion be on appreciating what already exists? The collaboration project Chosen for Redesign between Emmy and Aalto University aimed to find out how the lifespan of a garment can be extended through redesign.
The materials for the handmade products are clothes rejected during Emmy's product processing. Size recommendations can be found in the additional information on the product card.
Some of the project's products are available for a limited time in Emmy's online store only in Finland, and the proceeds are donated to the John Nurminen Foundation, which promotes the protection of the Baltic Sea.
